For the past months I have been part of a Jacquard weaving data research group. Over the summer, we had the opportunity to work with a six color warp. I mostly worked on two different techniques, all-over with two wefts and industrial tapestry using three wefts including a binder thread. Obviously I also tried brocade in order to add texture! Depuis plusieurs mois déjà, j’ai l’opportunité de faire partie d’un groupe de recherche en tissage Jacquard. Pendant l’été nous avons eu le plaisir de travailler avec une chaîne à six couleurs. J’ai concentré mes recherches sur deux techniques en particuler, le all-over à deux trames et la tapisserie de type industriel à trois trames dont un fil liant.Évidemment, j’ai aussi essayé les brochés pour innover sur la texture!
